The Police Officer

औखी घड़ी ना देखन देई अपना बिरदु संभाले ,

Sangatji, this satsang is from September 2019 when my brother visited me in the US. On one of the days of our trip to the west coast, we were passing through Death Valley National Park in Nevada. Death Valley is beautiful but has extremely dangerous views. It seemed to me like a ghost town. I felt we were very brave to pass through this valley! It was just like an unfathomable place. There was a point where we could. not see any cars either behind or ahead of us and moreover, it was getting dark in the evening too. I was remembering Maharaj all the time and requesting Him to be with us.

With His grace, we almost came towards the end of the valley very safely. Now we were able to see city lights in the vicinity and the view was almost getting back to normal! One of my friends was driving the car and the speed was on the higher end. I was constantly telling him to be careful.

All of a sudden we had a police car chasing us and we had to pull over to the side of the road. We were quite scared and thought that it was definite that he would at least charge us for speeding. The police car stood behind our car for about three to four minutes. We all were extremely petrified. Next thing, on the spur of the moment, the policeman drove the car closer to our car and stopped it parallel to our car. He rolled down the car window and said - "please slow down and be careful, I just got a call and have to run." And he turned the car and drove towards the opposite direction! We were perplexed as we were expecting him to charge us with a speeding fine. We all said Shukrana to the Maharaj and moved on towards the direction of our hotel.

In hindsight, we have absolutely no idea what mishappening was awaiting us if we continued our journey with that speed. Guruji Maharaj stopped our car and let that bleak moment pass away peacefully. Moreover, it was just next to impossible for the police officer to stop the car and not charge us for over speeding. But there is nothing impossible in the Divine Darbar of our Guruji Maharaj. Thank you, Guruji for yet again coming to our rescue and saving us from unforeseen circumstances.
