जिस दा साहिब डाढा होऐ,
तिस नो मार न साकै कोऐ ॥

This is a beautiful experience because the lesson did not come through words, but through nature itself - when Guruji turns a simple moment into a Satsang!
Last weekend, after lunch, I was standing at the kitchen sink washing dishes. It was an ordinary moment, one of those quiet pauses in the day when nothing special seems to be happening. As I happened to glance out of the kitchen window, my attention was drawn to a small rabbit in the backyard.
The little creature was eating furiously, almost hurriedly, as though it had somewhere to be. His ears stood tall and alert, constantly scanning the surroundings. Rabbits are known to be timid animals, always aware of danger, always listening for the slightest sound that might signal a predator. Their survival depends upon remaining vigilant.
As I watched, I smiled and thought to myself, “How cute.”
Then, within moments, another rabbit appeared. This one was larger and quietly positioned itself directly behind the smaller rabbit.
What happened next caught my attention.
The little rabbit noticed the larger one. Almost immediately, its posture changed. Its ears, which had been standing erect in constant alertness, gently lowered. The frantic eating stopped. Instead, it began eating slowly and peacefully.
At first, I thought, “Perhaps this is one of its parents.”
The scene stayed with me.
Later, while discussing it with another sangat, the deeper meaning began to unfold. What I had witnessed was not merely animal behavior. Guruji had arranged a living Satsang right outside my window.
The smaller rabbit had been operating in survival mode—fearful, cautious, constantly on guard. But the moment the larger rabbit arrived behind it, everything changed. It no longer felt the need to protect itself. It no longer felt alone.
It had found shelter.
It had found assurance.
It had found someone greater standing behind it.
And in that presence, fear dissolved.
As the parent rabbit arrived, the younger rabbit surrendered its vigilance and simply enjoyed the moment.
How often do we live exactly like that little rabbit? Constantly worried about tomorrow, anxious about circumstances, listening for every possible threat life may bring. We carry the weight of protecting ourselves, planning every outcome, and controlling every situation.
Yet Guruji continually reminds us that we were never meant to carry that burden alone.
When a devotee truly realizes that Guruji is standing behind them—guiding, protecting, and watching over every step—something within begins to soften. The mind’s restless ears come down. The constant scanning for danger subsides. Fear gives way to faith.
The circumstances may not change, but our relationship with them changes.
Like the little rabbit, we begin to slow down.
We begin to breathe.
We begin to enjoy the grass beneath our feet instead of worrying about the shadows around us.
Perhaps that was Guruji’s message that day: “Why do you live in fear when I am standing right behind you? Stop looking in every direction for safety. Rest in My presence. Surrender. I am here.”
And all of this was taught without a single word being spoken—through two rabbits in a patch of grass, and through the silent grace of a Guru who is always teaching those willing to observe. May we all learn to live fearlessly as we are under His Divine protection at all times.
