The Power of Prayer in daily life.

से सिमरे जिन आप सिमरायै,

नानक था कए लागो पाए ..

Time and again Guruji Maharaj has made me realize that there is nothing bigger than the power of prayer in one's life. The meaning of 'prayer' has transformed for me tremendously as I move along the path of my life. Prayer to me is my conversations with Guruji Maharaj. From my personal experience, I believe that by formulating a distinct sense of whom you are praying to makes a huge difference in what one wants to express and more importantly how one wants to express his or her thoughts.

For me, just like so many other sangats, I have always addressed Guruji Maharaj as my Father, as the Head of our family. I firmly believe that Guruji Maharaj has guided me on this beautiful spiritual journey of deeply understanding His teachings by each passing day. I feel that He has blessed me beyond what I deserve. I talk to Him just like how a daughter would talk to her father.

Guruji Maharaj has always taught us to be grateful for what we have and always pay our shukrana to Him in whichever conditions He has kept us in. This sense of gratefulness that the Maharaj has instilled in us makes us feel content at all times. But there might be times when our faith in the Maharaj gets shaken by certain circumstances but the bottom line here is that He always brings us back on track by showing us His presence in our lives in some form or the other.

Before coming into Guruji Maharaj's abode, I was an extremely anxious and pessimistic person. I would start worrying at and for every little thing in life. As a result of which I felt burdened at all times. But the Divine Light of Guruji Maharaj has completely turned the direction of my life towards Him. It's not that I don't worry anymore but Guruji Maharaj has allowed me to accept every situation as it comes and consider it as His will. Praying to Guruji Maharaj has also removed the negativity that I was surrounded by previously. Many times while chanting Guruji's mantra jaap, He has made me realize how the negativity has slowly vanished away into thin air. Such is our Guruji Maharaj - who is always available for his devotees - it's just a matter of choosing to remember Him in all types of circumstances.

In 2018, I was going through a rough patch on an emotional level and Guruji Maharaj came to my dream to bless me. In my dream, I saw that one night there were about 5-7 people dressed in black color from head to toe trying to break into my apartment. I see myself completely drenched in sweat and not knowing what to do. Further, I saw that I was asking for Guruji to help me. I then turned to the left side of my bed and saw that Guruji Maharaj has come out of the swaroop that I had kept next to my bed and was looking and smiling at me. As soon as He smiled I saw that night had turned into a bright sunny day and those people had vanished into thin air!

The sense of positivity that I felt since that day cannot be expressed in words. Guruji made me realize that He is always with me. Sada ang sang. My interpretation of the dream was that all the people dressed in black were the negative energies that were surrounding me.
